Warnings: Dead Space is a horror game that involves a lot of gore and destruction. Ellie's lived through a lot of really terrible shit including having to kill all her friends and having her eye gouged out. Those things may come up if anyone ever asks about her home and actually manages to get her to talk about it.

EMPATHY
Sensing Emotions Under the umbrella of empathy the first thing that Ellie can do is just sense emotions. At the moment she doesn't have any control over it so she'll eventually start to notice that she's always picking up something from the people around her. The closer she is to someone, the easier it'll be for her to pick up what they're feeling.
Manipulating Emotions She's also capable of manipulating emotions, more specifically she's able to negate emotions. For instance she could take someone's sadness away or dull their panic during a traumatic event.
Healing via Empathy This healing is both mental (taking someone's emotional scars away) and physical (healing minor wounds). The catch here is that doing that requires her to take the wound onto herself.
